The Glamour of Italian Fashion

It’s no secret that we’re passionate about bags, production methods, and leather pieces. But we’re also rather fascinated by history and culture too. That’s why we’re interested in what’s happening at the Victoria and Albert Museum. Until July 27 the V&A is playing host to an exhibition they’re calling, The Glamour of Italian Fashion 1945-2014.

It’s a celebration of creativity, quality, and ingenuity in Italian products, designs, and materials. And what material is more luxuriously Italy than its hand-made, high quality leather? Our beloved brand aunts&uncles uses Italian premium leather for their bags & wallets, not only for the looks but also long lasting life.

From the home of international fashion houses and an impeccable fashion sense, Italian leather pieces are known for being durable, stylish, and luxurious. Not only that, but they’re made so well that even the most basic items are simply beautiful. If you’re lucky enough to be the proud owner of an Italian leather bag or wallet, you know what we mean.

Designers like Fendi, Prada, and Gucci have a knack for producing perfect pieces that are functional yet striking. So when it comes to finding innovative products, inspired by life and produced using cutting edge techniques, we reckon Italy is a great place to start.

And we’re not the only ones. Twice each year trendsetters offering up high quality leather bags, sacks, and accessories gather in Milan to show off their wares at the MIPEL trade show. It’s the world’s leading international leather goods show and it keeps getting bigger and better.

The next MIPEL show will be August 31 – September 03 and, of course, we’ll be there in the thick of things meeting and rubbing shoulders with the movers and shakers in the fashion industry – all strictly business of course.
